The provided reference information on Canon EOS lenses is a factual compilation and does not contain any reviews or opinions on the lenses.

The following files contain details of all Canon EOS lenses.

- Canon Lens Data (Excel spreadsheet)

- Canon Lens Data (csv)

- Canon Lens Data Notes (txt)

- Canon Lens Data - Metric (pdf)

- Canon Lens Data - USA/Imperial (pdf)

- Canon Lens Data Notes (pdf)

- Lens Hood Data (pdf)

- Lens Chronology (pdf)

This information may be freely copied for personal, non-commercial use; but if redistributed or incorporated into other information the author would ask that an appropriate acknowledgement as to the source is included. While every effort has been made to ensure that the data is accurate the author accepts no responsibility for loss or damage occasioned through the use of this data.

I can also recommend N K Guy's excellent lens comparison facility on PhotoNotes.Org

The excel spreadsheet provides full information together with the facilities to select and display a portfolio of lenses. It requires Microsoft Excel 2003 or 2007. For other spreadsheets, or for use of the raw data, then the csv file can be loaded into most spreadsheet programs. [If downloading the csv file then please also download the notes that accompany the data]

Note: There are nearly 5000 individual pieces of information in the table, so some mistakes are inevitable. Also, data on earlier lenses is sometimes missing or contradictory. See errata for corrections not yet included in data.

The author would be grateful to receive corrections and suggestions. Please indicate the source of information (e.g. Canon manual, Magazine, Personal experience of lens) since I have found many factual errors and contradictions in both Canon and 3rd party publications and web-sites.
